Check StockAll KPMI® titanium valves are manufactured from solid U.S. milled titanium bar. The titanium bar is cut, forged and then the stem is pulled from the forging and cross-sectionally reduced. After all final grinding and machining the valve is encased in a hard chromium nitride (CRN) shell. CRN offers excellent resistance to impact, abrasion, and corrosion. These qualities along with its low coefficient of friction and excellent adhesion to titanium make CRN the coating of choice for high performance titanium valves. We have tested these valves in the lab and on the track. They have proven themselves time after time in many high-demand applications, including dual stage nitrous engines and 14,000-RPM dirt bikes.
